The saddle design follows traditional lines and construction. A basic wooden tree, with a suspended rawhide seat, carved fenders and a simple heavy cast brass stirrup. The seat is felt pad covered with fur. Fittings on all four corners provide for the attachment of breast collar and crupper if desired. Quivers, ropes and other tools may also be carried.

This is a no nonsense saddle built for the specific purpose of horseback archery. The seat is very short, with the stirrups hung only very slightly forward encouraging a military seat. From this position the use of the bow, lance, sword and other equipment is maximized.

The most important thing to remember about any saddle is that it is not the saddle that makes the rider, It is the rider that makes the saddle.
